The origins of Italdesign go back to 1968, when the predecessor of the firm Studi Italiani Realizzazione Prototipi S.p.A was founded by the world-renowned car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. Today, the legendary founder is no longer at the helm of the company, but the influx of funds from the VW Group’s recent acquisition has signified a new chapter in its history. Italdesign does not shy away from any challenging projects, but they are mostly known for the design and engineering work on cars and other vehicles from two wheelers to aircraft.
