BOULDER, Colo., March 6, 2023 (Newswire.com) - Rising volleyball star and Boulder, Colorado native, Lilia Donaldson, finishes high school season at the top and continues to excel in the club season with Roughriders Volleyball Club. The 6'2", 17-year-old Middle Hitter, graduating from Fairview High School in 2023, leads the teams in blocks, kills, and hitting percentage and also named to the Colorado All Conference team. Donaldson's most recent stats:
- .47 hitting (2023 club season to date)
- 100+ kills (2022/2023 high school and club seasons)

As the high school and club team captain the last two seasons, Donaldson was also named Defensive Player of the Year two years in a row for her high school team. Driven by her goal to be an all around contributor, she has grown in her offensive skills.
"Lilia is one of those players that is so coachable and her work ethic drives her to never stop learning," says Rough Riders Volleyball Club Coach and Program Director, Ryan Glavor, former player at University of Hawaii and former coaching staff at University of Colorado.
Donaldson also excels in the classroom with a 3.9 GPA out of 4.0, including AP level courses in Chemistry, Physics, and Psychology. She was named Academic All State First Team this year This will prepare her for her future academic plans of studying Chemistry to lead her to a career in forensics.
Her extra curricular interests round out her leadership in and out of the classroom. She has been a lead volunteer for community fire relief efforts helping 1,000 Colorado families who lost their homes to the Marshall Fire this year. She has been an independent physics tutor for younger high school students and had a Summer Internship in Biomimetic Dentistry blending her love of science with real applications in dentistry.
